Rafale combines the classic, timeless lines of an outer coat with the sense of detail of Maison Fauve.

The lined hood has a visor and tightens with a drawstring. The cut is constructed with paneling and a cuff, the sleeve is fitted and defined with small darts, and there is a spacious kangaroo pocket with a trompe-l'oeil flap at the front.

You make it in one fabric, or in three different fabrics for the bottom, the hood, and the top part with the sleeves.

What you will master: French seams and topstitching, inserting a concealed zipper, incorporating elastic, and sewing curves and darts. Technically, there are no major hurdles, but the pattern does have many parts, so allow plenty of time.

Which fabric do you need: supple, lightweight fabric between 70 and 200 g/m², such as fine denim, thin coated or water-repellent fabric, fine gabardine, medium-weight twill, or cotton satin. For the hood lining, cotton voile is the most comfortable.

Fabric density, at 140 cm wide: 2.40 m (34-40), 2.70 m (42-48), 2.90 m (50-52)
At 120 cm wide: 3.20 m (34-40), 3.70 m (42-48), 4.00 m (50-52)

In three fabrics, at 140 cm wide:
34-40: 1.60 m bottom, 0.85 m hood, 1.10 m top
42-48: 1.80 m, 0.90 m and 1.50 m
50-52: 1.90 m, 0.95 m and 1.50 m

Haberdashery: a 40 cm concealed zipper, 60 cm lining for the hood, 5 buttons of approximately 12 mm, 35 cm fusible interfacing type G700, and two 30 cm lengths of 2 cm wide elastic.
