The heart-shaped neckline beautifully showcases your neck and head. The defined waist and the pleated bodice create a graceful line. Cropped sleeves and a flowing skirt with pockets make it wearable rather than just beautiful.

Two backs, closed or with button closure, and two skirt lengths. Those are four different dresses from a pattern.

What you will master: sewing darts and pleats, neatly finishing a round neckline, a shoulder finish in tacking, making a button placket, inserting elastic in the back, and fitting a concealed zipper.

What fabric do you need: light to medium weight, between 100 and 200 g/m², and especially fabric that pleats well under the iron. Poplin, doupion, fine jacquard, chambray, or light denim, in cotton, viscose, linen, or Tencel. Fabrics that are too flowing or stretchy will not work here.

Long dress: 2.10 m (34-40), 2.40 m (42-46), 2.90 m (48-52)
Short dress: 1.80 m (34-40), 2.00 m (42-46), 2.50 m (48-52)

Haberdashery: 5 buttons of 10 to 12 mm for the buttoned back, 50 cm fusible interfacing type G785, a 40 cm concealed zipper, and 10 mm wide elastic, between 28 and 49 cm depending on your size.
