This fabric is also used for the Trix dress from Fibre Mood magazine. Tencel is the brand name for the fiber lyocell. The fabric is stiff when wet, but becomes soft, comfortable, strong, and supple as it dries. Some advantages of Tencel are:

• It is strong, yet as soft as linen.
• It is water absorbent, even more so than cotton.
• However, it dries much faster.
• It ventilates well, so it keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer .
• It still smells nice; research shows that bacterial growth on synthetic fabrics is 2000 times faster than on Tencel.
