Tencel is the brand name of the fiber lyocell. The fabric is stiff when wet, but becomes soft, comfortable, strong and supple when it dries. Some advantages of tencel are:

• It is strong, but as soft as linen.
• It is water absorbent, even more so than cotton.
• On the other hand, it dries much faster.
• It ventilates well, so it keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer .
• It continues to smell nice; research shows that bacterial growth in synthetic fabrics is 2000 times faster than in Tencel.
