Sacha is a unisex pajama pattern for children, simple enough to sew in an afternoon.
The top has set-in sleeves, so you don't need to set in sleeves, and is sewn in jersey. For the trousers, the choice is yours: jersey for something soft and supple, or woven cotton for something airier. The trousers are available in short and long versions.
The waist is elasticated, so the children put on their pajamas themselves. The sleeves and trouser legs are finished with ribbed fabric.
What you will master: sewing jersey, attaching ribbing, and incorporating elastic into a waistband. An excellent first jersey project.
What fabric do you need: for the top, knit fabric such as jersey, interlock, sweatshirt fabric, or French terry. For the trousers, knit or woven fabric such as poplin, chambray, or flannel. Rib knit fabric for sleeves and legs.
