Clara is a wide pair of trousers with pleats at the front, an elastic waistband and pockets in the side seam. Optionally, you can sew ribbons to the side seam. Ideal to conceal a tummy, such a button at the front.
It is a comfy no-nonsense trouser with lots of style for all kinds of occasions.
Clara also has no fewer than four different lengths:
– long trousers that reach the floor
– a culotte (7/8 trousers)
– a pair of knee-length breeches (skirts)
– a short

This is a 2.0 version of the 2019 Clara pattern with more sizes, more lengths, an improved fit and an updated manual.

Fabric choice:

Choose (linen) viscose, gabardine, tencel, silk or blouse fabric for a comfortable and well-draping pair of trousers. Or go for a thicker fabric such as baby rib, corduroy or jeans. For a fresh pair of spring trousers you can just as well use cotton of course. But stretchy fabrics are also extremely suitable for this pattern. Nicky velours, tricot, French terry or stretchy sponge are ideal to make your Clara wonderfully tough.
