The Noodlehead Caravan tote is a pattern for a cool, spacious shoulder bag with multiple compartments. Originally designed as a craft bag, it features several handy pockets. The caravan tote has a front pocket with a flap closure and a front zippered pocket that runs the full width of the bag. The main compartment closes with a magnetic snap.

In addition to the bag, the pattern also provides an additional description for a matching zippered pouch.

Dimensions:

• Bag: 36.25cm wide, 35cm high and 12.5cm deep
• Zipper bag: 27cm wide, 17.5cm high

Recommended fabrics:

• Waxed cotton, canvas, jeans for the outer fabric
• Cotton for the lining and accent fabric

Requirements for a fabric width of 110 cm:

• Outer fabric: 70cm (45cm if no zipper pocket is made)
• Contrast fabric (top and front pocket): 45 cm
• Lining fabric: 100 cm
• Belt fabric: 25 cm (can be replaced by leather belt or bag strap: 2 x 62.5 cm)
• Reinforcement:
• G700: 140 cm
• H250: 90 cm
• 1 thin magnetic clasp of 18 mm
• 3 press studs of 15 mm
• Zipper: 35 cm for bag, 25 cm for zipper bag

Optional:

• If desired, this bag can be used as a knitting bag. The pattern includes two 8 mm grommets in the inner pocket to guide the wool.
• Twill tape, ribbon or thin (cork) leather: 6.5 cm

Attention!

This pattern comes in a paper booklet with English instructions (and therefore also measurements in inches – conversion is very easy: 1 inch = 2.5 cm, 1 yard = 92 cm). The instructions themselves are extensively illustrated with step-by-step drawings, so don't let that intimidate you.
Only the non-rectangular pattern pieces are supplied on paper; you can draw out the other pattern pieces using the dimensions on the supplied cutting labels.
