Beautiful quality dry wax canvas. This fabric is water resistant, which means that the water does not run off completely (unlike the oilskin), but it also does not penetrate the fabric. This fabric has a matte appearance, feels soft and has the perfect thickness for bags, backpacks, messenger bags but also parkas, for example.
Unlike oilskin or other waxes such as beeswax, this waxed canvas will not show lighter colored creases where it is folded. The wash treatment does make the canvas a bit stiffer than regular, non-waxed fabric and contributes to its characteristic 'used look'.

Ironing on reinforcement is possible, but at a low temperature and WITHOUT steam. Warm wax reacts with steam droplets and gives unsightly stains that are not easy to get rid of. |

This canvas is woven very tightly and leaves perforation holes, so use the finest possible (microtex) needle, of course adapted to your layer thickness. |
